On 7 November at 9 p.m. in the Cathedral there will be a conference entitled ‘My purgatory: Dante prophet of hope’. The speaker will be: Franco Nembrini. (Conference in Italian)
The conference will present the exhibition of the same name that will take place from 11 to 24 November at San Pietro in Atrio, Via Odescalchi 3 – Como
‘Dante, Prophet of Hope’ is not intended to be yet another learned or popular exhibition on Dante Alighieri: it wants to ensure that young people approach the reading of the Divine Comedy with passion, finding in it a fundamental contribution to their human and spiritual growth.
This is how the exhibition was born, with two fundamental contributions: the contents by Franco Nembrini and the illustrations by Gabriele Dell’Otto. It is about standing in front of Dante’s verses with one’s existential questions open, in search of a full meaning for life. In this way Dante becomes a prophet of hope, i.e. a credible and contemporary interlocutor, able with his words and concrete examples to bring us face to face with our desire for happiness.
