The Cathedral Basilica of Como, dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of the Assumption, is the mother church of the Diocese of Como. It is also the first Marian shrine in the Diocese. For the Jubilee it opens its doors to all pilgrims and faithful people who want to experience this year of grace. The Jubilee will officially open on 29 December at 3pm in San Fedele, followed by the Pontifical in the Cathedral.
Here is how to experience the Jubilee year in the Cathedral:
Sunday: Lord’s Day
4:30 p.m.: Spiritual walk of the Jubilee, inside the Cathedral, meeting at the Baptismal Font
5:00 p.m.: Pilgrim’s Mass
Wednesday and Friday: penitential days
and on the following days: 19/03 – 25/03 – 13/05 – 8/09 – 8/10
9.00 a.m. Lauds
1.15 p.m. Holy Mass for workers
Saturday: Memorial of the Mother of God
9.30 a.m.: Holy Rosary
10.00 a.m. Holy Mass and procession to Our Lady of Grace
Monday – Saturday: 12.00 noon Angelus
Friday:
15.00 Memorial of the death of the Lord
